When I was a kid I liked comic books espically X-men and Fantastic 4. It would be cool to have super powers. However, as I got older I appreciated the hero’s who used intellect and technology to save the day. Of the super heroes I’d most like to be professor-X of the tech guys batman. For non-comic book it would probably be Aragorn of Lord of the Rings fame. How about you?
Captain Jean Luc Picard would be epic as that would balance up having the tremendous power of a star-ship with many years of exploration and adventure into the unknown.
I'd like to be a hobbit - before the adventure. A cozy den and 2nd breakfast rather suits me.
I always have a sneaky admiration for characters with 'samurai-quality' - people with strong determination, discipline and focus - Ser Jorah Mormont (so far anyway, I'm only on Book 3 in the books and Season 2 in the HBO) and Brienne of Tarth from GoT and Rorschach from Watchmen. But I think I'd like to be a character who's a strategist with an enquiring mind: Sherlock Holmes and other detectives of that kind (e.g. Erast Fandorin), even if they're not SF/F fiction.
