Guest Editorial

Happy Happy, Joy Joy!
Is everyone ready for some good news? Quantum Muse is beginning
its 5th year. That's right folks, we have been up and running since
April 1999. We have survived Y2K, the blip in technology interest, the
severe travel schedule of a life on the move, and a few good drinker's,
I mean writer's, meetings. Among other things. Survival is a great trait.
I am writing a Guest Editorial because I am not technically an editor
of this e-zine. The struggling wife of an editor and all-time meddler
is my usual title. Also seen at one convention as the Q-Babe. Fun it
was.
Quantum Muse has been up and running since April Fool's day 1999.
We intend to keep on going too. Our first anniversary we offered an
anthology of works from the editors. For our fifth anniversary, or maybe
the sixth, we will offer an anthology of works from the first five years
of the magazine. Do you have a favorite? If you send a comment and it
even says simply "that one about the vampires in the blown-up subway"
we will find the title. Of course now that we are only keeping the last
six months in archives it may be difficult. Don't worry the editors
have favorites on file also. Inundate us with suggestions please. I
feel some of the better editorials should be included. What do you think?
We will continue to let the consumer know we are a poor little e-zine
with no pretensions of being the best.
Seriously folks this magazine sees itself as nothing more than a ground
floor stepping stone for a good writer or artist to get a break and
advertise their style. I am told writing is an addiction and a place
to publish must be available at all costs. Thank you to the folks who
have supported us through the amazon-buy-me-link, purchasing our logo
merchandise, and the first anthology, and the tip-cup. It has kept us
up and running.
The most pressing thing I can tell you in this editorial is we want
your input. In the anthology picking; and in how to run a bang-up site
while on the road.
You come to Q-Muse for the entertaining escapism and fresh new ideas
of fantasy and science fiction. We must be doing a super job already
since there has been very little criticism. What do you want to see
more often? Anyway, time for me to sign off and let Ray at the Internet.
Thank you all for four happy years.
