A Typical Fantasy (Part 1 of 2)
We moved the story out of the archive. You can now find it in this fantastic collection:
What do a missing prosthetic arm, an AK-47 and a Tooth Fairy have to do with one another? Find that out and more in this delightfully bizarre collection of 13 humorous fantasy, sf, and adventure tales by Jeromy Henry.

I agree that the original comment missed the mark, obviously because the person did not read past the Gandalf observation. I admit I did not like the story at the start but enjoyed it by the end. It did seem a bit cheesy at the beginning which may have been in part what the first reviewer was alluding too.
I had to laugh when I read the previous reviewer's comment. The wizard is obviously not the POV character, Sebastian is! Someone does not have very good reading comprehension skills. I'm not sure why the commentator said anything about the story at all when he/she/it apparently only skimmed the first few sentences, made a blatantly wrong observation, and then did not read the rest. Weird.
I got put off with the line "Gandalf look-a-like". The pov character did not think this, but the author does. It is better to stick to what the pov character sees and thinks. The wizard does not know he looks like Gandalf. Also I understand you were going for humour, but perhaps you have gone a little overboard.
