| Biography of Richard Tornello Rick always had an interest in writing, art, science and history. He studied at The Art Students League in NYC and later picked up a degree in History with an advanced certification in Asian Studies from Rutgers University. He continues to study physics and has a deep interest in modern geopolitical goings on, especially in Asia.
He began writing short stories and poems about 12 years ago and has published 3 children’s books and illustrated one book of poems. He also translates the poetry for a Chinese-American poet for her English speaking audience.
In addition to the above children’s books, Rick was the art editor and has been published in Quantummuse.com, Aphelion-webzine.com, Orion’s Arm.com, Short-Humour.org.uk, a few stories in the anthology A Flash of Aphelion and a new one LARAMIDIA in Fantastical Savannahs And Jungles. Some of his poems have now begun appearing in a select Chinese publication.
He is a business owner and a technical/engineering recruiter working in Washington DC, primarily in the federal government contracting arena.
He is married to a photographer and artist. He has 3 grand children who many times give him the ideas for his children’s poems and stories. Rick is “owned” by one slightly insane rescue cat that likes to hunt the humans and Grays in the house, pouncing upon them from out of hidden locations.
