Waldo’s shoes were tight and they made his feet hurt and sweat. He wanted nothing more than to take off his shoes and ease his pain. But he did not remove his shoes because his sweaty feet stank and the embarrassment that would cause him was too much to bear. So he sufferred in silence.
MORAL—It’s not the feet it’s the humility.
Rhonda loved candy. All day at work she would pop M&M’s and life savers one after the other. She day dreamed about the gummy bears and bon bons waiting for her at home. One day alone in her apartment she sat down with a bog box of chocolate cremes and ate and ate until the box was empty. She slipped into a diabetic coma and never awoke.
MORAL—It’s not the sweet it’s the cupidity.
Orrin loved his job as as zookeeper. One of his favorite things was feeding Sampson, the zoo’s prized lion. After several years Orrin and Sampson had developed a friendly working relationship. Orrin thought they understood each other. One day during a routine feeding, Sampson grabbed Orrin, tore him to pieces and ate him for no apparent reason.
